Position Title: Accountant
Location: Urua Akpan, Essien Udim, Akwa Ibom State.

ST. MARY HOSPITAL, a leading healthcare institution committed to delivering excellence in patient care, invites applications from qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Hospital Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all hospital financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory and institutional requirements.
• Develop and monitor budgets, perform analysis, and support departmental heads in financial planning.
• Supervise periodic audits and implement recommendations to enhance financial controls.
• Collaborate with companies, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely processing of claims and payments.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft packages.
• Proficiency in accounting packages and Hospital ERP platforms is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity in financial reporting.
